  • 2 tbsp greek yogurt
  • 2 1/2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 tbsp chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a microwave-safe mug until well combined.
  2. Break up any cocoa powder clumps to ensure even baking.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the milk, Greek yogurt, maple syrup, peanut butter, and vanilla extract until completely smooth.
  4. Ensure the peanut butter is fully incorporated with no streaks.
  5. Pour the wet mixture into the mug with the dry ingredients.
  6. Stir vigorously until you have a smooth batter with no lumps.
  7. Scrape the bottom and sides of the mug to moisten all dry ingredients.
  8. Gently fold the chocolate chips into the batter, distributing them evenly.
  9. Place the mug in the microwave.
  10. Microwave on high for 90 seconds.
  11. Carefully remove the mug from the microwave as it will be hot.
  12. Let the cake cool in the mug for 3 minutes.
  13. Serve warm directly from the mug.
